Broome fire

Broome Police are appealing for information from the public to assist with their investigation of a suspicious fire in Broome in the early hours of this morning, Friday 23 August 2019.

Just after midnight, Department of Fire and Emergency Services and police were called to a report of a fire at the Broome Hospital located on Robinson Street.

The fire was quickly extinguished but the fire damaged a front door, mat and a small area of the floor.

Police are urging anyone who saw any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles or who has any dash cam footage of the area around the time of the fire is asked to come forward.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the apprehension and subsequent conviction of an arsonist.
